Aruns Tarquinius was the second son of Demaratus the Corinthian, who migrated to the Etruscan city of Tarquinii in the 7th century. He died before the birth of his son Egerius and within the lifetime of his father. His brother, Lucumo, the future King of Rome, inherited all of the estate of Demaratus.

His son was Egerius, first cousin to Tarquinia, whose husband was Marcus Junius Brutus, with their son being Lucius Junius Brutus, the founder of the Roman Republic.
